The internet is a very useful tool and in this day and age it is difficult to imagine that not so long ago it didn't even exist. I remember how cool I thought it was when I first could go on AIM and chat with my friends in elementary school. The internet has improved my life by making it easier for me to do research for projects. Also, websites like Facebook make it easy for me to connect with old friends that I would otherwise have never have called or written to. The main way that the internet has been detrimental to my life is that it is very distracting when I am attempting to write a paper. Because it is so accessible, I am always tempted to stray from writing in Word and "quickly" log online. And, once I log on, there seems to be a million things I want to look at rather than finishing my homework. Other than that, I love the internet, use it daily, and thoroughly enjoy it.

my very first post
My name is Emma Marson and I am a freshman graphic design major. I'm from Los Angeles and I don't know too much about computers, though I am a quick learner and am excited to learn more because I am on my computer every day like the vibes.
